How to Make this Season the Best Ever!

To summarize, let’s personalize these ideas that I’ve shared so that we can make them our own!

Where do you dream of being?

Think about it. Really think about it. It’s not wrong to want more in life or to dream of what’s next so long as it doesn’t breed dissatisfaction in the season that you are in. Why do you dream of being in this place? What are some of the things you just love about this place? Now search for those same things in the place that you are now! Maybe you live in the South, but you dream of Colorado because the flowers are SO unbelievably colorful! You know Colorado has nothing to compare with the pecan orchards in the South, right?! There is a very real beauty that you can appreciate in this place and season you are in right now! Change your paradigm to improve this season!

What are you looking forward to?

Specifically! No vague answers allowed! Something I once read really stuck with me. It’s along the careful what you wish for lines: “with bigger blessings and gifts, come bigger responsibilities and risks.” That is not at all to say that we should shy away from big opportunities and blessings for fear of the responsibilities entailed. On the contrary, we serve a God of abundance, we can expect incredible blessings and the ability to utilize them remarkably well! We should be appreciative and delighted in the season that we are in! When you are able to pin down the specific things that you are anticipating, switch your paradigm and again find the equivalent of that dream in the here and now!

(This reminder is more to help keep you from the vague “if I had that pretty 1900s home that woman on Instagram has, then I could be happy” mentality. That’s terrific to know that’s all you need to be happy – here’s the home, the mortgage, the monthly payment requirements, ooh and I wanted to mention half of the walls are rotting too! Yay!)

Master your own balancing act!

Don’t slow down yet – you’re almost to the finish line! What does your balancing act look like to you? Visualize an ideal balancing act and then adjust, adjust, adjust to make it work for your lifestyle and family! There’s no right or wrong one-size-fits-all answer. It’s just about blooming where you are planted and making the most of where God has you! I really am so excited for you to be living your life and I pray that God blesses you with an extra dose of enthusiasm for this life!

All things work together!

You read that right: All Things. This doesn’t mean that any season of life will ever be all sunshine and flowers. It means that the summation of all things will work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. God sees the big picture. He knows the season that you are in. He loves a heart that is confident in Him and His goodness!

My heart is confident in You, O God; no wonder I can sing Your praises with all my heart! – Psalm 108:1

Now tell me, how do you feel about this season of life? Encouraged? Excited, even?! I hope so! I know going over these ideas and putting them in writing has really been a blessing to me! And this is just the tip of the iceberg – there are dozens more ways to embrace the seasons of life! Will you share some of yours with me? Or share how you personalized these ideas! I’d love to read them and hear from you!

Until Next Time!

Hope.
