Do you have a favorite restaurant? What makes it your favorite? The menu, the people, the environment? Bistro 221 would definitely be my favorite! It is located inside a lovely, historic downtown building that has been beautifully restored.
I discovered it about a year ago as I was headed out of town for a wedding and happened past it. The weather was terribly dull and overcast, and as I drove through a pretty little downtown there sat Bistro 221! A beautiful brick exterior all lit up and inviting in contrast to the gray weather.
As I drove past I made a mental note of the name and location. This was my first time coming through, but I knew I wanted to come back!
Fast forward several months – I managed to talk my sister into going with me. We closed up our shop one Saturday afternoon and set off towards the Bistro.
We sat out back on the lovely patio and ordered hot fudge sundaes and coffee. Such a delicious treat and a wonderful time! We talked shop – literally – and brainstormed ideas. As we chatted, we decided we needed to come back for further meetings! Bistro 221 was inspiring!
I couldn’t wait to tell our parents about the Bistro. My dad has always been amazing at finding nice places to eat, so I knew he would like this one! Sure enough, he and Mama tried it a little while later and enjoyed it!
We’ve continued to visit them along and along (though never frequently enough, if you ask me!). Whether you’re just meeting friends, celebrating a milestone, or having a business meeting, if you find yourself near St George, SC you have to be sure to visit them!
