Always Go For The Win

Always go for the win – an inspiring phrase highlighting the importance of giving something – everything, in fact – your all. With a strong confidence in God and His ability to equip you, there is little in life that you cannot attain if you put your mind to it.

Today is the day to stop living half-heartedly. Recommit yourself to God and boldly, fearlessly pursue the path He has set before you. Your path will look different than everyone else’s. That is the beauty of serving a limitless God! Make no apologies and don’t let it hold you back. Set your eyes on the goals God gives you and give it your all.

As the saying goes, I would rather ask for a lot and get part of it than ask for a little and get all of it. Are you bold and secure enough in your relationship with God to go for the win?

How To Determine Your Path

So many times we don’t know what our path is meant to be. We are going along day by day, but we dream of something else. How do we determine the path we are supposed to be boldly pursuing?

First off, I am confident that God is capable of communicating with me where He needs me to be. If I need to be making changes, He’s good to push me towards them. Remembering that I can count on Him to move me in the direction He needs me brings me great peace. When I forget this and start stressing that I don’t know what I’m supposed to do, things look pretty bleak.

Remember, specific prayer receives specific answers. No exceptions. It will take time and your attention, but truly, is there a better way to spend those than in God’s presence? After asking specific questions, ask for wisdom, courage, and direction. And then get ready for God to lead the way and line things up as only He can! Lean in to this relationship you are developing with Him, delight in it, and trust that He will bring everything together in His perfect way.

Sometimes determining your path is more about holding steady and being patient a bit longer where He has you. Trust and believe that He hasn’t forgotten about you. He longs for a relationship with you. And He places hopes and dreams in your heart that will give you a hint of what’s ahead! This too shall pass – this time of waiting, this job you’ve been in, this period of unknown. Get good rest, get ready to see Him move on your behalf, and get excited!

Finding a Healthy Balance

It seems that everything in life comes back to a healthy balance. I keep witnessing that conclusion time and time again in my life and others. And it seems I need that reminder over and over again!

Work is important – even vital – in order to serve others well and meet needs. But rest is also important – even vital – if we want to be strong enough to serve and help others well. For some reason, switching gears is challenging for me. I’m either all in working and helping others, feeling like I’m not measuring up if I’m not doing something, or I’m wiped out and overtired. But there is a happy medium in there somewhere, a healthy balance.

I think part of it is learning your own personal strengths and needs. We all serve differently and have different things to give. That’s how together we make up the body of Christ! It wouldn’t work if we were all the hands and served in the exact same way! Give yourself the grace to serve and then rest as needed. And be sure that you give others that same grace when they are able to give in a way that is different from you!

Finding a healthy balance should leave you refreshed, energized, and excited about the life God has in front of you. That doesn’t mean you can’t dream of what’s ahead, but rather that you should find peace and joy right where you are! Remember, this too shall pass, so make the most of the time now, each and every day!

Always Go For The Win

Always go for the win – how else can I word that? Don’t play small, play the long game, play to win, don’t accept defeat, prepare for what you pray for, etc.

When I haven’t had enough pause and rest in my week, it makes me weak. My thoughts get weak, my prayers are weak, even my body. And that’s a sad way to live! It doesn’t honor God well and it steals my joy and enthusiasm for where He has me. But when I get good rest, eat well, exercise, and keep up with my tasks, a world of opportunity opens up before me! And that’s where I don’t even hesitate, I always go for the win!

If you too are uncertain about what’s ahead and what you’re supposed to do, check your work/rest balance. Make sure you are giving your best at work and make sure you are prioritizing rest. Both are very important. Pray specific prayers to God. Not vague I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing prayers. But ask Him for specifics – would you bring me help at my job, help me strengthen my leg so it quits hurting, bring me a new employee who can be a manger, etc.

And then marvel at how He answers! He may deliver exactly what you asked for or He may have you practice patience longer. His answers are perfect and are wonderful to use as a compass to direct your life!

I would rather ask for a lot and get part of it than ask for a little and get all of it. Be bold, courageous and confident in God!

Until Next Time!

Hope.
