This past week I was mentally going through a mental checklist of what I was planning to accomplish in the next week. There were odds and ends such as tidying up and finding new places for things. I am also in the process of moving (!) into a new bedroom, so I need to get the necessary things done there as well.
On top of that I have been considering a quick fix (which just by the name is rarely quick and not really a fix of any sort!) to give my clothing sales a boost!
I am vaguely aware of a sales method that I am eager to try that is based on working with online influencers. I just need to find the list of recommended influencers, get in touch with some of them to hopefully give sales and interest in the clothing a lovely little boost!
Nice and simple, right? Even a specific plan! And not too complicated!
Oh, wait, this list that I plan to use to look through the list of possible people doesn’t even exist. So instead of scrolling down until I find the selection of “clothing influencers” (ladies who could tell their followers about my clothing) I am instead looking at a blank page. To be honest, I am disappointed. I was hoping to spend a little bit of time to email several different ladies and work with a few, and instead I am left with nothing to go on.
In all fairness, the mistake is mine. I over-simplified the process (I seem to do that a lot!). I need to do due diligence and create a list of my own. But the truth of the matter is that creating such a list will take time, concentration and effort. But, if done carefully and thoughtfully, it will be more than worth the work. There are people out there who have quite the following and they are willing to work out a swap to tell people about your business! Just like one pays a local newspaper for an ad, you can work with online influencers and reach a more targeted audience!
Though finding and researching people for this list will take time and effort, it will be worth the work. This is so important to remember! Whether you are doing your schoolwork, studying for an exam, growing a business, or compiling a list of contacts. Do it well and do it thoroughly and you will have a prize of a result. No it probably won’t be quick and easy, but that’s not always a bad thing. The truth of the matter is that we most appreciate that for which we have to work hardest!
So put in the time without complaints. True you might not have the time right now. Rest assured if you will pray about it and truly look for the opportunity, God will give you the time. He never fails!

PS. Do you know what one of my favorite things is about putting in the time and effort is? Every now and then, God will push us light years ahead! He will take our efforts and bless them beyond our imagination! I love to witness this and especially to experience it! And it is even sweeter when I know in my heart that I have been giving my best effort to these tasks. The victory means more and the gift is so much more dear to me!
