I am so excited to now be able to offer you The American Lady book! What began as an effort to bring hope and encouragement to girls and women online has grown!
Back when I first started writing this blog, the original intent was just to provide a light-hearted and uplifting spot to encourage others. Perhaps I’d share project ideas or lessons learned. But deep down, I really felt led to write a book. I didn’t have a clue what it would be about or how to even go about it, but it is as if God put that little seed in my heart.
As the year went on, I wrote this dream down. I would pray about writing a book, took a few classes on it, and even began a few files filled with ideas for different topics. But nothing clicked and I didn’t feel any progress was being made.
Volume #1
And then one evening late in the year my Dad told me he wanted to give me part of my birthday gift early. He had compiled the first year of this blog into book format. 52 weeks of posts turned into 52 chapters in a “thought for the day” style book. There laying in front of me, thanks to my Dad, was a dream come true – my first published book! I couldn’t believe it!
And do you know the best part? I don’t think I had really told anyone I wanted to write a book. So to have my Dad help me accomplish this goal was extra special and meaningful to me!
Another Year, Another Book
Each year, another 52 posts are compiled into another book and the stack of the American Lady book grows. These books have only been available at our boutique in downtown Walterboro, SC, Twig, and will now be available through our blog here. I can’t wait for you to get to hold your own copy!
Who Will Enjoy The American Lady?
The American Lady is specifically targeted at girls and young ladies. If I could take you to your favorite ice cream or coffee shop and enjoy a chat with you, these are the things I’d want to share.
Girls and women need love, time, and encouragement, and this is what I want to give to you through these words. Women of all ages have shared that these books have been a blessing and encouraged their hearts. And that is my sincere hope! That I might encourage you and remind you that you are well-equipped for where God has you!
May God bless you as you pursue Him! And I pray this blog, these words, and now these books might inspire and fuel you on your way!
