Living Your Best Life

Living Your Best Life blog

Are you living your best life? Remarkable and adventurous lives are built on remarkable and adventurous decisions, surrounded by sound wisdom.

Do you ever look at another person and think they have it made? Perhaps they have a dream job (be it motherhood or a boutique owner), drive a nice car, and have a lovely attitude. Or maybe you admire their style and office. At any rate, whenever you think another person has it made, it is important to keep a few things in mind.

It Comes at a Price

Everything comes at a price. Valuable things cost money, where as cheap things really don’t cost too much. This applies to products when shopping and also to life decisions. But also remember to consider the cost for later down the road because many times, cheap things end up costing a lot – either in repairs or replacements.

I’m sure you’ve heard the analogy being fit is hard, but so is being overweight – choose your hard. And the analogies continue to other key life areas. Let’s add another I haven’t seen in any of those lists: choosing quality takes work, but choosing cheap things requires extra work – choose wisely.

This isn’t to say that from time to time cheap things don’t hold their own value. Sometimes inexpensive items are terrific to accomplish things. When our shop neighbor needed coffee cups, our disposable coffee cups did the trick. They filled the need for him without costing us an arm and a leg.

On the other hand, valuable things cost more – it is just a fact. More time, more effort, more money. But they yield far more in return too. Invest in valuable things.

Invest in Value

Bring value and invest in value. Living your best life might come down to how you spend your time and who you invest in.

But before you can invest in value, you have to determine what you find valuable. Who and what do you see as valuable – and why?! Sometimes discovering just why you are inspired by something in someone else’s life is just the ticket to discovering how to step toward living your best life!

I’m inspired by women who shine in the role they play. Be it mother, shop keeper, nurse, etc. Some woman bring a vibrancy and enthusiasm to their role – and I want to mimic that!

Another thing I admire is the way women can see life as an adventure and they find joy in navigating it well. Even around trials and difficulties, they discover how to shine brighter.

But all these positives and valuable things I admire require work. In order to yield these results, you must invest in valuable things such as seeking God and His Word, renewing your mind, and loving your neighbor. It takes a lot of work, but there isn’t a better place to put your effort!

Living Your Best Life

Living your best life might come across as a no brainer to some, but it is a fresh vision to me. This is our one life and what better way to represent God well than to step into where He has us as if it is a dream come true?!

Whether single or married, God has you where He wants you. And just because you’re not married right this minute, doesn’t mean that He doesn’t have someone perfect for you just around the corner. Or maybe you’re married and you haven’t had any children yet. Never lose hope of the dreams in your heart. Definitely pray about them and ask God to guide your heart to long for His plans. Just because they haven’t been fulfilled yet doesn’t mean they aren’t on the way!

And personally, I’d rather have a dream come true as I’m shining right where God has me, wouldn’t you?! Not while I’m feeling disgruntled and woe-is-me.

Living your best life will lead to adventures and dreams that you can’t even imagine! Give God your whole heart, your whole life, and even your most precious dreams and then watch what happens!

Until Next Time!

Hope.
