How To Find Clothing That Fits

How to Find Clothing that Fits

For ages I have struggled with how to find clothing that fits. Somehow with my petite frame it can be a real challenge to find clothes that are small enough but also classy and pretty.

And I like a certain style, as I’m sure most women do. I’m not super trendy but I like to look current and attractive.

The irony of this struggle is that I own and run a clothing boutique (Colbert Clothing) but only a few garments that we get in come small enough for me to wear.

Then I discovered Stitch Fix and ooh what a delight! Tops, jeans, dresses, cardigans, etc! Now my closet is full of garments I love and reach for again and again!

How Stitch Fix Works

Stitch Fix is fun to set up! They have you complete a few quizzes that ask you about your size, color and style preferences, garment choices, budget, etc.

You get to set your schedule for how frequently they will ship a box to you. The box is typically made up of five items – garments, shoes, bags or jewelry choices – that your stylist hand picks for you based on your responses to the quizzes.

You can let your stylist be a bit adventurous in her choices for you and this can lead to some fun new items that you might not have tried otherwise! Personally, I’m not overly adventurous when it comes to my own style, but I do try on everything in my Stitch Fix box. I mean, what’s the fun in the experience if you don’t enjoy it, right?!

Returns are free and easy with a prepaid return mailer included in the box. You now also have the option to exchange an item for another size too, which is super convenient!

Stitch Fix Style Pass

The subscription typically costs $20 per box. And this $20 becomes credit for anything you keep from your fix. So it’s kind of an unspoken rule to keep at least one item! *wink*

With that said, I made a fascinating discovery by accident! After keeping most every item from my first few boxes (y’all, I was in need of clothes!), my account got upgraded to the Style Pass! Now my fixes are free for a year. This pass will cost me $50/yr, but that immediately becomes store credit.

Just wanted to pass this info on, as it was a delightful discovery to me! So now if I don’t want anything in a fix (which rarely happens, but it does), I don’t have to feel like I’m wasting my $20!

New Features

Since I’ve been getting Stitch Fix the last year or two, they’ve introduced a new feature – shopping their items! Up until recently they only offered items within their subscription boxes, but now you can shop directly off their website. One of the major pros to this is that they offer free shipping and free returns!

If you have been struggling to find clothing that fits, I definitely recommend you give Stitch Fix a try!

Until Next Time!

Hope.
