You are a one of a kind, there's no one like you. The role you have to play in this life is unique and you are the only one that can do it justice. You have an opportunity to really step into it, claim it each step of the way, and own it to the fullest extent.

There’s No One Like You

You are one of a kind, there’s no one like you. The role you have to play in this life is unique and you are the only one that can do it justice. You have an opportunity to really step into it, claim it each step of the way, and own it to the fullest extent.

There is work to be done for God. Each of His children have a duty to play their role and give it their best. To take what they have and honor and serve God with it.

What Do I Have?

Do you feel like you have precious little to bring to the table? Like you know your duty but don’t understand what you have to contribute? Let me encourage you right away – we always have something to give.

First we have to work on our perspective. Is God a God of abundance? (yes, He is) So we can know – even if we don’t feel it – that we have an abundance to work with. It is important to start with the mindset of more than enough. There’s no one like you, what do you uniquely have to bring to the table?

Cast your mind back to Scripture – remember the boy with the loaves and fishes and how Christ used those to multiply them to feed the five thousand? Notice how nobody disregarded the boy because he barely had anything. And the boy didn’t apologize or be down on himself because he didn’t have more. He brought the handful that he had and Christ was able to take that fraction of what was needed and multiply it into more than enough!

The same rings true today in our lives: if we will give what we have God will supernaturally bless our efforts! Do you believe He’s able? Ponder this and consider it and pray about it. Get to a place where you can take the human limitations off God and you will see Him show up in incredible ways that will be beyond your comprehension!

Believing God for What He Says

I personally have to practice growing my belief in God. Not that I don’t believe Him, but I subconsciously give Him human limitations. I ask Him to help me in my work and business and then I only expect to accomplish what I can humanly figure out how to accomplish. Not because I don’t think He’s capable of more, but because I haven’t taken the time to fill my mind and thoughts with His incredible power. I haven’t exercised my thoughts to stretch bigger than my human logic.

Because of this I have a list by my bed of five key areas I want to remove the limits I have subconsciously put on God. I ask Him to show up and give me a better understanding of His limitless power to help grow and stretch my beliefs.

Growing a relationship with God will forever be an ongoing effort, a lifelong pursuit. Each of us must pursue it in our own way, but the key is to never quit! We must constantly be filling our mind with His word, eager to bring what we have to the table and see what He will do with it!

There’s No One Like You

There’s no one like you or me, or anybody else for that matter. Even identical twins are uniquely themselves. God has given each of us an incredible opportunity to contribute in a myriad of ways for His glory and today is the day to step into our unique roles and callings. If you are uncertain what God has for you to do, ask Him to show you. And then show up each day confident that He will direct you where He wants you.

But here is my challenge to you: show up wholeheartedly, not half-heartedly or timidly. Don’t question whether or not you even count. Don’t ponder if you bring value. Instead, know and remember that God doesn’t have redundant creations. He specifically created each of His people with a purpose and our duty is to discover that purpose.

It’s a bit like trying to solve a mystery, discovering our purpose. But that’s part of the adventure! Knocking on doors, pursuing opportunities, shifting gears, navigating where He leads. I am confident that when all is said and done, I’ll understand the big picture someday when I look back. And right now, in the thick of it, I need to be like the boy who gave his fishes and loaves and give my all boldly – even if it feels highly insufficient.

There’s no one like you or me – and that makes it extra important to accomplish what God brought each of us here to do. Let’s go back and ask again, what do I have to bring to the table? I believe God equips each of His children with unique abilities and when we ask, He helps us discover them.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. -2 Timothy 1:7

Until Next Time!

Hope.
