America First

America First is an inspiring reminder of who we are and what we represent!

For too long, patriotism, love of country, and love of God has been looked down on. People have been belittled and even reprimanded for excluding others when showing preference for their country and people first.

Things that we know are wrong have been permitted. How can we possibly make a difference and fight what has been accepted for too long? Better to keep your head down and focus on what you can control, right? Or is it?

Recently I heard an incredibly inspiring reminder to Christians:

“Christians are not called to be lukewarm. Stand up for your faith and for your God!”

These words (though not verbatim) inspired and excited me! I never considered that I would have the amazing opportunity to see such a wonderful awakening in this beautiful country that I love!

Though we as a nation have many faults, I am thrilled at the number of people and instances looking to God for direction and help! And not just quietly, but publicly, and challenging everyone around them to do so also! This is an amazing time to be alive!

I want to challenge you to also take a stand for your faith and for your freedom. Don’t hide behind being part of the silent majority, but rather boldly rally those around you to stand for God and country!

Courage

Leading up to the election, a number of people would tell me of their support for Trump, but of their fear of saying anything. To me, that was just astounding. Who are you surrounding yourself with if you need to hide what and who you stand for?

Now I am certainly not suggesting waving a red flag in front of a bull, but I do think there is a certain boldness and honesty that you owe to yourself and those around you. Not that you have to rush out making political announcements, but rather be who you are.

One might like chocolate without making public service announcements about it. But should the topic come up, you’re not timid in your likes and dislikes.

There are some people that I don’t talk politics with simply because they are quite bull-headed and vocal in their beliefs. I’m not about to argue with them. If asked directly, I will do my best to give a persuasive and honest response, but I’m not keen to get in on a debate. That’s just not who I am.

Proud to be an American

Let me encourage you to courageously be you. Seek God, follow His lead, and don’t apologize for it.

I look forward to getting back to Americans realizing what a gift they have in America and in their heritage. Don’t be quick to look down on America because of those who are seeking to destroy what is good. But rather, seek to do your part to inspire and encourage those around you to be their best and represent this country remarkably well!

Until Next Time!

Hope.

PS. Supporting our military and law enforcement is an excellent way to show your gratitude for all they do for us! Something as simple as a note saying thank you can make a world of difference: https://www.theamericanlady.com/2016/10/21/support-our-troops/
