Making Room to Grow

Making Room to Grow

Making room to grow is so important if we want to be the best version of ourselves. Without growth, we won’t step into the incredible opportunities that God has ready for us!

But growth takes courage, it takes faith, and it can feel a bit risky. We can’t let the unknowns ahead of us keep us stagnant and still. Rather, we should step forward in faith knowing that God provides direction every step of the way!

Growing in Your Work

Whether you own your own business, work for someone, or are still in school, it is so important to continually be growing and stretching. Consider what your ultimate goal is in your situation and then work for it diligently. As you go along, adjust or push that goal further! The idea is to always have something in front of you that you are working towards.

What if you have a blank slate and you are not sure what to work towards? Pray about it. Sincerely and faithfully ask God what His goals for you are. He always answers and He isn’t limited in His plans like we can be! You can also look for inspiration from those around you. Be selective with who you ask and consider their advice. Not all ideas need to become your own, but sometimes they can sure inspire you!

Growing in Your Faith

Your relationship with God will be the most important relationship you will ever have. He is your everything and must be front and center of your life. As with any relationship, time and attention are fundamental to building strong relationships. Be sure that growing in your relationship with God is top of your list.

Spend time reading His word, memorizing Scripture, and praying. Invite Him into every area of your life. Talk to Him like you would your closest friend. Ponder His ways and His plans, ask Him to reveal His mysteries to you. Make sure that the people that you spend time with encourage your relationship with God.

Did you know that you can’t just hold steady? You are either growing or slipping behind. Be intentional in your relationship with God to pursue Him and ask for His direction. He always answers, we simply have to remember to pursue Him!

Growing in Your Relationships

Good relationships are essential to a happy life! It really isn’t the number of friends you have but rather the quality of your friendships that is important.

A loving family is the greatest blessing of all. Intentionally seek to have strong relationships with your siblings, parents, and family. Let them know they are important to you. Give them your time, attention, and encouragement. Search them out and speak well of them to others.

Friendships come and go, not all of them are forever. Bring your best to the friendships that you currently enjoy, through prayer and encouragement. And be sure to make time for adventures and time just enjoying yourselves! Sometimes the simplest things build the best relationships!

What are some ways you might grow your relationships? Perhaps you want to set a night each week to particularly enjoy with your family and no distractions. Maybe you want to go through a book or class with a friend. Consider and pray about how you might grow in your relationships to step more fully into what God has for you.

Growing is Essential

Growing is essential in all areas of life for a Christian. Now I don’t say that to overwhelm you, but rather to challenge you to be all that God has created you to be! When we step into what we can see as the next step, He will reveal another and another! We will spend the rest of our lives pursuing incredible opportunities if we will simply show up each day! Isn’t that an amazing way to spend your life?!

Until Next Time!

Hope.
