Never Stop Improving

Never Stop Improving

Not too long ago, Lowe’s slogan used to be Never Stop Improving.

I couldn’t help but be inspired by that. Never stop improving isn’t limited to home improvement projects, but is in reality a great mindset for an incredible life!

Living a Christian Life

As Christians, we should always be working on learning God’s Word and following His ways. If you are not spending time in God’s Word, growing your relationship with Him, it is slipping away.

Going to church on Sunday simply isn’t enough. Work to incorporate learning about Him every day of the week. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you, to direct your steps and be a very real part of your life.

Daily Bible reading is a priceless moment of pause and peace that will strengthen your relationship with Him. In order to live a Christian life and live how He wants you to, you need to learn what He requires of you.

Living as true Christians starts in our homes and in our hearts, how we treat people in our everyday lives. Your relationship with God is the most precious relationship you will have in life. Nurture it, grow it and watch what He has in store!

Doing Your Best Work

We must never stop improving in our area of work. Sometimes people become complacent or neutral about what they do, but that just won’t do. We must get up every day with a joy in our hearts and enthusiasm in our work.

It has been said, even if your job is peeling potatoes, a Christian should do it for the Lord. Be the best potato peeler you can be! God didn’t create extra people and He knows exactly where He has you. When we do our best work, even if it’s work we don’t particularly care for, we bring glory to God!

If your work does have you down, spend time asking God for direction. Look for other employment opportunities that might be a better fit for your skillset. On the other hand, we have all had to work and serve where we might not choose if left up to us. Remember that we do our work for God, rather than man. That can make all the difference in inspiring a better work ethic and attitude!

Giving Your Best

Giving your best isn’t just limited to work, but includes within the walls of your home. Sometimes it is easiest to be kindest to those not inside your home, so it is vital that you show those closest to you your kindness and love. Don’t take them for granted.

If you have a hard time getting along with someone close, ask God what you need to learn to make the relationship better. Those closest can be the most difficult to get along with because they are helping shape our character. That can be hard, but is so important! Instead of getting annoyed, work on yourself. Having the best response, showing kindness instead of being rude. It takes two to get along, so you might as well try to be the bigger person.

Giving your best at home includes keeping yourself and your area tidy. Some people say it doesn’t matter what goes on when you’re at home, but I think that what goes on at home is highly important and says a lot about your character. If you want to be the best version of yourself, be your best at your home when no one is watching or knows.

In conclusion, Lowe’s had a great idea when they chose the slogan Never Stop Improving. As Christians, this should be our goal! And the fascinating thing is that God is limitless, so as we work to improve and be more Christ-like, we will never reach the end of the improvements we can make!

Until Next Time,

Hope.
