Wait for it

Wait for it

Wait for it – whatever your “it” is. If your goal is God’s best and you are looking for His direction, there is no wait too long.

These words ring true, and I truly believe them, but if you are at all like me actually living them is where the challenge is.

What can we do in this interim, this difficult period that tries our patience and our faith?

Prayer

How many times have we talked about the importance of prayer do you suppose? It’s my go-to, my default. Nobody understands my concerns or frustrations like God. No one gives peace quite like Him either!

In these times, it’s so important to remember the promises He has given us. Sometimes they are specific, while other times they are more general.

Personally, I feel like I have specific promises for specific areas in my life. Applicable Bible verses I’ve tucked away in relation to concerns and struggles.

For instance, I used to struggle with tripping all the time when I walked. I found verses about having secure footing, so while I walked, I would repeat these verses to myself, personalize them, and thank God for giving me secure footing. I’ve come a long way since then, but the principle still applies.

Trust

Trust that God has the details. This to me is so calming and encouraging! Yes, I definitely still struggle – and more some days than others, but ultimately I know God’s got this. He isn’t surprised, He has it all planned out, and we can’t mess up His plans for us!

These reminders, these promises give me such peace and security.

Faith & Hope

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

Ooh, that in these struggles, in these times of wondering, we pray, seek God, trust Him, and exercise faithful hope! Some predicaments may seem too dire, but we must cling to the hope, the promises of better and brighter things to come!

As the hymn goes, “I know Whom I have believed in and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.” In other words, everything – every thought, concern, fear, etc – is secure with our ever faithful God! Cling to that beautiful truth and let it fill you with hope!

Wait for it

The calm, the peace, the victory is coming – we just have to wait for it. May God strengthen our character in the waiting. May He strengthen our resolve to do what He has set out for us to do! All good things take time!

Until Next Time!

Hope.

PS. May God bless you and encourage you as you wait for the conclusion of the struggle or unknown you find yourself in! Fill your mind with thoughts of encouragement and victory! God is going before you and making a way! https://www.theamericanlady.com/2018/01/24/fighting-everyday-battles/
